CMTA Annual Conference
Unfortunately, the CMTA Board of Directors made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 CMTA Annual Meeting. The health and well-being of our attendees and other participants was key. Please stay tuned for further details on our next conference and potential alternative training.
The annual conference is generally held in April, at which we have motivational speakers, timely educational breakout sessions, roundtable discussions and networking opportunities. There are also pre-conference sessions providing in-depth training on various treasury and debt topics.More Information Coming Soon
CMTA offers educational content through one-day seminars and pre-conference workshops. CMTA partners with CDIAC, the CFA Institute and Fixed Income Academy to offer relevant training thoughout the year.
Every January CMTA & CDIAC team up to conduct a two-day seminar centered around the topc of "Advanced Public Funds Investing". Our last event was designed to provide an advanced discussion of portfolio management, including the more complex concepts underlying sound public portfolio analysis and decision-making. The seminar covered investment concepts, risk, and the permissible securities under California Government Code 53601. It also included an investment portfolio case-study simulation to allow seminar participants to place concepts into practice.
This is our version of a “lunch and learn” aimed at engaging members with educational content and meaningful conversations with peers and commercial vendors. Events are held throughout California on a regular basis.
